What Is Google Chrome's Enhanced Safe Browsing?
Google introduced Enhanced Safe Browsing for Chrome and Gmail to help protect users from phishing and malware.
Once you turn it on, the feature works in the background to protect you from malicious websites, dangerous downloads, and harmful browser extensions.
Google uses data from Enhanced Safe Browsing to increase security when you’re signed in to Chrome and Gmail, associates that information with your Google account for protection across Google’s apps, and conducts real-time scanning to either alert you or block unsafe sites, downloads, and extensions.
