How to Change the Default Browser on Google Pixel Phones
Before you proceed, you need to have at least two browsers installed on your phone. If you don't have any besides the default one, pick one of the best Android browsers and install it as you would install any app from the Play Store. Then, follow these steps on your Pixel phone:
- Open the Settings app and tap Apps.
- Next, select Default apps and tap Browser app.
- Now, simply choose your preferred web browser, and you're good to go.
How to Change the Default Browser on Samsung Phones
If you have a Samsung phone, the Settings app may look different because of its One UI interface, but the steps you need to follow are mostly the same. Here's what you need to do:
- Open the Settings app and tap Apps.
- Select Choose default apps and tap Browser app.
- On the next page, select your preferred web browser and exit the menu.
You can also change other default apps on Android from the Default apps settings page. This not only applies to Samsung and Pixel phones but also to other Android devices.
